Pools defender Carl Magnay went along to join in with a PE session held by the Club’s Community Sports Foundation at a local school last week.
The defender, now back in the First Team squad after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, went along to St Joseph’s Primary School last Wednesday.
This term, the class were learning all about the game of hockey so Carl picked up his hockey stick and joined in, with drills on passing and shooting.
The class then split into groups for a few games, with Magnay playing on a different team in each round of the competition. And it turned out that it’s not just football that Carl excels at – as he showed the children his hockey skills too!
