Reserves Look To Continue Perfect Start

19 September 2016

Pools Reserves are back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Rotherham United in the Central League at Billingham Town (2pm kick-off).

Sam Collins’ side will look to build on a strong start to the campaign which has already seen them beat York City 2-1 in the league and thrash Bradford City 5-0 in the cup.

Another young side will take to the field against The Millers, with defender Harly Wise given a chance to impress after joining the Club on trial following his release from Queens Park Rangers.

Visitors Rotherham have played just once so far this term when they were beaten 1-0 at the hands of Mansfield Town a fortnight ago.

“We’ve got to just keep building on the way we’ve been playing through pre-season and in to the start of the league campaign,” Collins told us.

“The lads have taken on board the things we’ve been asking in training so we want to see more of that coming out on the pitch again against Rotherham.

“There were plenty of chances created in our first two games and we could have scored even more so we have to go again and hopefully get another strong performance and result.”

Admission is free to Season Ticket holders, while regular prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

We’ll have a full report on the game here on the Official Website following the final whistle at Billingham Town.
