Jake Carroll and Josh Laurent took time out on Wednesday evening to support a local school’s fashion show which raised over £600 for the British Red Cross.
The event at St Bede’s Comprehensive and Byron College in Peterlee was organised by student Megan Armstrong who, along with friends and teachers, took part in the charity fashion show.
Pools stars Carroll and Laurent popped along to officially kick-off the cat-walking, while they also posed for pictures and signed autographs for the students, their families and staff at the school.
Donations and raffle money helped Megan and her friends raise a whopping £635 for the British Red Cross, which helps people in crisis across the UK and overseas.
“We were happy to go along and support Megan’s fashion show,” said Carroll afterwards.
“Everyone taking part and in the audience seemed to have a great time so it was brilliant to get along there and give them all our backing.
“It’s a great effort to raise such a big amount for the charity so fair play to all the students and their families for putting in the hard work to organise it.”
