Craig Hignett is hoping that the injury which forced Carl Magnay off at the end of the first half in Saturday’s game with Mansfield Town is not too serious.
The full-back hurt his left knee in a collision midway through the period but battled on until just before the break when he took another knock to it and was forced off.
However, Hignett says that the Club’s medical staff will need to have a closer look at Magnay over the next couple of days before seeing how severe the injury is.
“Carl felt something on the side of his knee,” he told Pools PlayerHD.
“We don’t think it’s anything too serious so we’re hoping he’s just nipped the cartilage but we’ll have a look at him and get him assessed fully.
“Lewis Hawkins also came off but his injury isn’t as bad, it was just the kind of knock you get in a game so he will be fine.”
