Jordan Richards and Ben Dudzinski joined residents of Queens Meadow Care Home for their recent Memory Walk.
The sponsored walk, which involved ten laps of the home for residents and their families, was designed to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.
And the Pools pair went along to lend their support for the afternoon, as well as taking part in the walk themselves.
Jordan and Ben were joined by H’Angus and staff from Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation (HUCSF) in representing the Club for the event.
“We have built up a good relationship with Queens Meadow through a number of programmes we have delivered there in the past,” explained Vikki Hutchinson from HUCSF.
“So it was great to be able to go along and support the event, and the fact that both Jordan and Ben came along too – and H’Angus obviously – added to the day and created a real buzz for the residents.
“One of the residents was a Pools Season Ticket Holder for 60 years and had a couple of Pools shirts she wore for the walk so it was extra special for her to have a couple of the players there.
“Jordan and Ben got stuck in and joined us for the full walk which was great and it was a really successful afternoon all round, which was enjoyed by us all.”
