Reserves In Action At Grimsby Town

15 November 2016

Pools Reserves are back in Central League action on Tuesday when they make the trip to face Grimsby Town at Blundell Park (2pm kick-off).

Sam Collins’ men will be looking to keep up their 100% start in the league after winning their first three games of the campaign.

It’s once again a young line-up that will take to the field against The Mariners and Collins is hoping that his players can continue their good form.

“They’re doing really well,” Collins told us.

“The reason we have this group isn’t so much about the winning but the developing of the players and because of that one I thing I’ve been able to do is try players in different positions and see how they fit in.

“For example, Dylan Elliot is naturally a winger or a central midfield but at times he’s played as a striker or even at centre-back in a three and handled it very well.

“It gives the freedom to try things and see if players can deal with it and, to be fair to the lads, they’ve done everything we’ve asked of them and usually done it really well.”

Admission prices at Blundell Park are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions and we’ll a full report on the game here on the Official Website following the final whistle.
