Craig Hignett has made seven changes to his starting eleven for this evening’s Checkatrade Trophy game against Rochdale at The Northern Gas and Power Stadium (7.30pm kick-off).
Adam Bartlett starts in goal with Trevor Carson away on international duty with Northern Ireland, while Scott Harrison will partner Matthew Bates in the centre of defence and James Martin starts at left-back.
Brad Walker is handed his first start of the season in the centre of midfield, alongside Michael Woods and Liam Donnelly who returns after missing Sunday’s FA Cup game through suspension.
Jake Orrell is given his full debut for the Club in an attacking role, with skipper Billy Paynter recalled to the starting line-up after coming off the bench to score in the weekend win over Stamford.
Youth Team full-back Kenton Richardson has been handed squad number 35 and will be among the substitutes for this evening's game.
Named on the bench for Rochdale tonight is five-year-old Joshua McCormack - a young Dale fan who is suffering from a terminal brain tumour.
