Craig Hignett has challenged his side to get back to their very best form on the road as they look to close the gap on the top seven with a trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
The Pools boss knows that victory at Adams Park would see Pools move level on points with their hosts, who currently sit on the very fringes of League Two’s play-off zone.
After finding their feet on home turf with some positive results in recent weeks, Hignett is now determined see the players match that up with more joy on their travels.
“We’ve finally started getting things right at home with three wins and three clean sheets so the lads should be full of confidence,” he told Pools PlayerHD.
“We put on a good display at Doncaster and, but for a lapse in concentration, would have got a good result so there’s no reason we can’t go to Wycombe and do well in the game.
“The away from before the last three had been good; we’ve been to a lot of places and done well so we have to get back to being tough to play against, hard to beat and concentrated for the full game.
“If we can do that then we will compete with anyone; this league is very tight and I think it will stay like that through the season so if we can get some consistency we’ll be right in the mix.
“Wycombe have been on a good run and are up near the play-offs but we can catch them with a win on Saturday so we want to go there and quieten the crowd, be better on the ball than we have been and then see what happens.”
