Jeff Stelling is taking Pools to Wembley later this month to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK – and there’s still time for you to register and join him on the road!
The popular Sky Sports presenter, alongside Pools Chief Executive Russ Green, will set off from The Vic bright and early on the morning of Monday 21st March on what is being called his Men United March.
The pair will be joined by a host of celebrities over the following ten days, during which they will complete an average of 26 miles per day and visit over 30 football clubs en route to the famous Wembley arch.
Many of Jeff’s Soccer Saturday colleagues have signed-up to join him, including Matt Le Tisser, Chris Kamara, Paul Merson and Charlie Nicholas – and you could be part of the effort too.
Time is running out for people to register to join Jeff and Russ on a leg of the walk with applications only remaining open until the end of this week – click here for more information.
The amazing charity challenge has already raised almost £100,000 for charity and they are hoping it also raises much-needed awareness of the disease, which affects around 1 in 8 men in the UK.
Walkers will leave Victoria Park at around 8am on Monday 21st March and, even if you’re not taking part, you can come along and help us give them a massive send-off.
