Hawkins 11/1 For First Goal At Crawley

18 March 2016

We take a look at some of the best betting odds ahead of Saturday's game at Crawley Town.

The bookies are starting to believe in Pools a bit more in recent weeks and have them in at 9/5 for three points at Crawley on Saturday, though the hosts remain 6/4 favourites with Sky Bet.

The Red Devils ran out 2-1 winners when the sides met at The Vic earlier in the season – and you can back Pools to gain revenge by the same scoreline this weekend at a price of 9/1.

Our only other visit to Crawley ended in a 2-2 draw in 2013 on a day we were followed by hundreds of fancy-dress penguins – you can back the same outcome this time (the score not the penguins!) at odds of 14/1 with Sky Bet.

Billy Paynter (5/1) and Luke James (13/2) are still Pools’ best shout for the opening goal according to the bookies, but Nathan Thomas is 10/1 and Lewis Hawkins is 11/1 and they could be worth a punt.

For Pools to win the game 2-1 and Luke James to score the opening goal looks a good bet to us and you can back that at odds of 40/1.

Remember, every person who signs-up to Sky Bet using the links in this story will be directly helping Pools – so if you’re having a flutter this weekend make sure you do it with us.
