Craig Hignett has added another new name to his squad as Jake Orrell puts pen to paper on a move to Victoria Park.
The 18-year-old striker joins the Club after turning down the offer of a new contract from League One side Chesterfield.
Orrell started out his career at Sunderland, progressing through to Academy from the age of 10 to 16.
After spending time at Gateshead College, the striker was picked up by Gateshead and forced his way into the First Team picture at the International Stadium.
Orrell then went to Chesterfield on trial where then Manager Dean Saunders offered him his first professional contract for 2015/16.
He made four appearances for the Spireites senior team whilst at the Proact Stadium and will now link up with Pools looking to add to that tally.
Jake is not the first Orrell to put pen to paper on a deal with Pools this season as his younger brother Lewis will also join up with the Youth Team for 2016/17.
