Hawkins And Richard In To Face Rams

9 January 2016

Lewis Hawkins and Jordan Richards have both been handed starts in Pools’ FA Cup Third Round tie against Derby County at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).

Midfielder Hawkins has spent the last couple of months on loan at Spennymoor Town but was recalled during the week and goes straight in to Ronnie Moore’s line-up.

Richards missed the start of the season with a stress fracture in his back but returned to fitness recently and comes in at right-back in the absence of Michael Duckworth and Carl Magnay.

Matthew Bates is ruled out with a toe injury so Scott Harrison is in to side to face The Rams and will partner Adam Jackson in the centre of the Pools defence.

Derby boss Paul Clement hands Hartlepool-born keeper Jonathan Mitchell a start, while new signings Nick Blackman and Abdoul Camara both make their Rams debuts.
