Adam Jackson will remain at Victoria Park after Ronnie Moore clinched a deal to keep the Middlesbrough youngster on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old defender joined Pools at the start of November and made his debut in the FA Cup First Round win over Cheltenham Town, going on to make eight appearances in total.
His original deal expired on Saturday but the two clubs have been in discussions and the paperwork has now been completed which will see him remain at The Vic until 7th May.
“We’re really pleased that Middlesbrough have allowed Adam to stay with us,” explained Moore.
“He’s put in some good performances and got more solid as time has gone on so we’re delighted that he’ll be part of the squad for the rest of the season.”
