Ronnie Moore was left disappointed after an 11.30am pitch inspection led to Pools’ game at Notts County being called off on Saturday.
The Pools boss made the trip to Meadow Lane with Assistant Manager Sam Collins on hearing about the inspection and was frustrated that the decision was made that the game couldn’t go ahead.
“We’re really disappointed, to be honest,” Moore explained.
“There was water on the pitch but I don't know what work had gone in to clearing those areas because I don’t think there was a fork in sight.
“We can’t do anything about it of course – it’s off and we have to move on and now all we can do is make sure we’re fully focused on the three games we’ve got coming up at home.
“We’ll be in on Sunday to train as normal instead of the recovery session we had planned and we’ll build-up to Tuesday’s game and the start of what is a fantastic and massive week for us.
“We know what we have to do – we have to get out there and be bright and be positive so that’s what we’ll be asking of the players.”
