Pools Youth Team are back in action on Saturday morning when they host Lincoln City in the Youth Alliance League at Welfare Park in Blackhall (11am kick-off).
After winning their last two games, John Hewitson’s youngsters will be keen to maintain their upturn in form at the expense of The Imps this weekend.
City sit second-bottom and two points behind Pools in the North East table so the fixture represents the chance for Hewitson’s men to put further distance between themselves and their visitors.
“We need to get the win make sure we continue our recent run and the lads are feeling confident,” Hewitson explained.
“The victory over Rotherham last week set the standard because they are right up there in the league so if we can reproduce that kind of performance then we’ll give ourselves a great chance."
Pools will once again be without Jordan Fielding (concussion), Niall Short (thigh) and Ryan Robinson (knee) for this weekend’s clash with Lincoln.
Kick-off is at 11am and entry is free so if you want a football fix make sure you head to the game and give our youngsters your support.
