Team News: Pools v Blackpool

23 December 2016

We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of our Boxing Day game against Blackpool at The Northern Gas and Power Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Craig Hignett has no new injury worries ahead of Monday’s outing and will hope to have young defender James Martin in contention after he missed the trip to Portsmouth with a knee injury.

Rob Jones, Carl Magnay and Nathan Thomas remain on the sidelines for the visit of The Tangerines, while Kieran Green is also unavailable after injuring his ankle playing for the Reserves on Tuesday.

Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer is crossing his fingers that Brad Potts will be available after he underwent emergency dental surgery after the weekend’s defeat to Luton Town.

Colin Daniel has been back in training after hamstring trouble and is pressing for a recall to the starting line-up, as is Armand Gnanduillet after he shook off a knock to return to the substitutes’ bench on Saturday.
