We're Never Out Of A Game - Hignett

16 August 2016

With Never Say Die Spirit in 'bucket loads', the Pools boss knows his team will always have a chance in games.

after seeing his side come back from 3-1 down to take a point at The Alexandra Stadium. Pools PlayerHD“It’s hard to know what to make of it really,” Craig Hignett admitted to

“I wasn’t pleased in the first half, I thought we were a little bit sluggish, stood off them and let them do what they wanted to do.

“Then at 3-1 you’re thinking the game is dead but credit to the players, they kept going and showed that never say die spirit – they’ve got that in bucket loads.

“I know we’ve got goals in the team but to come to a place like this and to score three goals, not to go home with the three points is a bit disappointing but then we could’ve lost it. It was a really open game and anything could’ve happened.

“Am I happy with a point? No, I’m never happy with a point!” the Manager said with a smile on his face.

“Tonight we had to dig in at time and weather storms, but then we came back ourselves. It was a very open game and with the attacking players we’ve got, I fancy us scoring wherever we play. We never think we’re out of a game because we know we’ve got goals in the team.”
