Pools To Hold Open Training Session

22 August 2016

Fans are being invited to come along and meet the Pools squad when we hold an open training session at Billingham Town on Thursday.

Entry is completely free and supporters will get the chance to meet the players, get autographs and have pictures taken at the end of the session.

Gates open at 10am when fans will be able to watch Craig Hignett and Curtis Fleming put the squad through their paces in preparation for Saturday's game against Newport County.

As part of the event we’ll be attempting to raise some much-needed funds for our friends at Billingham Town so all donations on the day will be welcome.

There will also be a raffle held throughout the course of the morning with match tickets up for grabs as well as a special top prize for one lucky winner!

“This is a chance for the fans to come and watch us train and for the staff and the players to show their appreciation for the support we get,” boss Craig Hignett explained.

“On Saturday we had over 100 fans travel all the way to Exeter to cheer us on – it’s brilliant support really and we wanted to give something back to them.

“As well as that, we have a good relationship with Billingham Town. It’s where we play our Reserve games and train from time to time so it’s good that we can try to help them in this way.”

So make sure you come along to the open training session at Billingham Town this coming Thursday from 10am.

We’ll see you there!
