Pools have kicked-off a new partnership with The Flagship restaurant as part of a major overhaul of their matchday corporate hospitality.
During the summer months, the Club has undertaken an extensive renovation of the Executive Boxes at Victoria Park and has also signed a deal with The Flagship to provide catering and hospitality on matchdays.
Corporate guests at every home game will now enjoy their pre-match meal from a menu prepared by staff from The Flagship, which is based at Hartlepool College of Further Education.
The partnership also means that the College will be supplying students to wait on tables and gain valuable experience as part of their education.
The Flagship’s team of expert chefs moved in for the first time during pre-season and the Club has received excellent feedback from fans following the friendlies against Sunderland and Scunthorpe United.
“We’re thrilled to have gone in to partnership with The Flagship and Hartlepool College of FE,” explained Mark Burrows, Pools’ Director of Operations.
“It’s pleasing that we’re able to link-up with a local organisation which not only helps us provide our corporate guests with a high-level service but also allows some of the town’s youngsters to learn their trade.
“The feedback so far has been extremely positive to we’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”
Andrew Steel, Vice Principal of Hartlepool College of FE added: “This is another example of the College working side-by-side with big businesses in the town and we are delighted with the partnership The Flagship now has with Hartlepool United.
“Anyone who has eaten in The Flagship can testify how wonderful it is and we are glad to extend this further in to the local community with Pools.
“It is a high intensity environment to serve large groups of people in a relatively short space of time at a football match, and we are confident our students will flourish.”
