Fans Say Thank You For Free Away Travel

21 April 2016

The Supporters’ Association have made a donation to the Club’s Youth Development Fund by way of a thank you for the free transport to away games during 2016.

Pools Chairman Gary Coxall made the gesture to supporters in January and the Club has since laid on free transport to Luton Town, Bristol Rovers, Barnet, Newport County, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient, Carlisle United, Morecambe and Notts County.

Free transport remains in place for the trips to Oxford United on Saturday and Plymouth Argyle on the final day of the season as a gesture to supporters for their loyal backing.

And this week we received a letter from the Supporters’ Association along with a cheque for £250 towards the Club’s Youth Development Fund, which was raised from a collection.

“It’s a really nice touch and one we appreciate,” said Coxall.

“Our supporters have had to do a lot of travelling in recent months but their backing has helped the team massively as they put together a really good run of form.

“We’re delighted that so many fans have been able to enjoy our away games, especially the brilliant wins at Barnet, Leyton Orient and Morecambe.”
