Michael Duckworth is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Sheffield United on Tuesday evening.
The full-back was forced off midway through the second half after picking up the injury chasing back to put in a goal-saving challenge on the edge of his own penalty area.
Pools have already been without fellow right-backs Carl Magnay and Jordan Richards, while Josh Nearney was handed his senior debut in the role following Duckworth’s exit on Tuesday.
“He’s just felt the hamstring a little so we’re hoping it’s not too serious,” Moore explained.
“It’s highly likely he’s going to miss the weekend but with that kind of injury it could be a longer period of time so we’ll just have to cross our fingers.”
