Pools Youth Team will be looking for their fourth straight win in the Youth Alliance League on Saturday when they host Burton Albion at Blackhall’s Welfare Park (1pm kick-off).
John Hewitson’s men have begun the season in great form and last weekend’s Youth Alliance League Cup defeat against Preston North End was their first of the campaign so far.
Now the youngsters are aiming to bounce back quickly when they tackle Burton this weekend and Hewitson is hoping that Pools fans can help them do it.
“We made too many individual errors and made rash decisions during the game against Preston last week,” he admitted.
“It’s not been like us this season and we want to try and get back in the winning habit as soon as possible so we’re really looking forward to Saturday.
“With the First Team being so far away from home if we could get a few extra fans coming to support the lads it makes a massive difference to them.
“We’ve been playing some great football and scoring plenty of goals too so hopefully we will see another entertaining game this time out.”
Hewitson is without Nat Skidmore (shoulder), Adam Male (leg), Liam Travers (leg), Aaron Cunningham (hip) and Jack Blackford (ankle) for Saturday’s game.
Meanwhile, Pools Youth Team will host Fleetwood Town in the First Round of the FA Youth Cup in early-November.
