Reserves Back In Action At Rotherham

13 October 2015

Trevor Carson will get more game time when he plays in goal for the Reserves in their Final Third Development League game at Rotherham United on Tuesday (2pm kick-off).

The keeper is back to fitness and challenging for a First Team spot after recovering from the fractured toe which has delayed his Pools debut since he joined the Club in the summer.

Also in the line-up for the Reserves against The Millers is defender Alan Tate, who has joined the Club on trial following his release from Premier League Swansea City.

Dan Jones, Brad Walker and Scott Fenwick are also included for Pools as they look to build on last week’s creditable 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough in the League Cup.

“The boys are looking forward to it and we want another positive performance,” explained John Hewitson, who will once again lead the team alongside Ian McGuckin.

“There are players in the team who will want to challenge for places in the First Team so we want them to show us that they are ready to do that by playing well today.”

The game takes place at The Millers’ Roundwood training complex and we’ll have a full report and reaction here on the Official Website following the final whistle.
