Pools Star Positive Goals Will Come

13 October 2015

Rakish Bingham is determined to use the goal he scored in the weekend game at Northampton Town as a platform to help fire Pools back in to form.

The front man has remained positive despite not finding the net since the opening day win and was left frustrated after seeing a series of opportunities saved during the recent defeat to Luton Town.

But rather than let any negativity affect him, the summer arrival from Mansfield Town chooses to keep faith in his ability and is now looking forward to getting in among the goals more regularly.

“I was delighted to get back on the scoresheet,” Bingham told Pools PlayerHD.

“Strikers thrive on their goals obviously so I was pleased to get one on Saturday but naturally I was disappointed with the result.

“I always stay positive and I am confident in my own ability. I understand that I have had quite a few chances and haven’t taken them but if they keep coming I know I will start putting them away.

“Hopefully Saturday will be the start of many more goals to come for me.”

Pools will look to end a run of three successive defeat when they make the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday and Bingham says the whole squad are focused on an upturn in form.

“Everyone is disappointed with the recent run but I am sure we will turn it around.

“We are still confident and we know what we’re capable of so we have to keep doing the right things in training and on the pitch then it will turn for us.”
