Moore Seeks More Clinical Performance

23 October 2015

Ronnie Moore has called on his players to show a more ruthless streak in front of goal this weekend as they prepare to host Crawley Town at Victoria Park.

Pools have already taken four points from a possible six after backing up a win at Dagenham & Redbridge with a midweek draw against Barnet.

Now Moore is targeting another win which would lift his side up towards the top half of the League Two table but knows that Mark Yates' visitors are not to be taken lightly.

“It would be nice to get the win but it won’t be easy,” Moore told Pools PlayerHD.

“If we could take seven points in a week it would be tremendous and it would put us in the part of the league where we want to be and looking upwards rather than over our shoulders.

“People know we haven’t won at home since August but it’s not been for the want of trying or for the want of creating chances.

“That’s supposed to be the hardest part of football but again on Tuesday night we had three or four good chances that we didn’t take and sooner or later someone is going to get a good hiding.

“Crawley beat Luton on Saturday and played well but if we show the right attitude, the right determination and we take our chances then we shouldn’t fear anyone at this level.”
