Peter Denton has joined Bedlington Terriers on a one-month loan deal.
The young keeper has linked-up with the Northern League Division One outfit in time to go straight in to their squad for Saturday’s home game against Seaham Red Star.
Denton joined Pools in the summer after impressing during a two-week trial following his departure from Rotherham United at the end of last season.
The 18-year-old stopper has been on the bench for the First Team for the majority of the new campaign after fellow summer signing Trevor Carson suffered a fractured toe.
However, now Carson is back to fitness, boss Ronnie Moore was keen to see Denton move out on loan to build his experience of senior football.
“With two more senior keepers on the books it was always the idea to give Peter the chance to go and get some game time under his belt on loan somewhere,” Moore explained.
“He is still a young kid and learning the game but he needs to be playing regularly so this move will be ideal for him to gain that experience and hopefully toughen him up some more.”
