Pools have this afternoon signed Burnley defender Luke Hendrie on an initial one-month loan.
With Bradley Halliday having returned to Middlesbrough and Michael Duckworth not yet back to full fitness, Ronnie Moore was keen to sign cover in this position.
And the Pools boss moved quickly to snap up Hendrie from Championship side Burnley this week.
Hendrie, who is the son of former Middlesbrough striker John, joined The Clarets from Derby County in the summer.
Moore has seen the versatile 21-year-old several times in action in the Development League and knows he can operate comfortably at right back or can offer an option in midfield.
Hendrie has been handed squad number 27 and, subject to Football League clearance, he will be available for selection for Saturday’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
