Pools fans have snapped up all 350 tickets for the FA Cup tie at Salford City in just two hours of sales at Victoria Park on Wednesday morning.
Supporters were queuing at The Vic from as early as 6am to ensure they got their hands on tickets for the tie, which is also to be broadcast live on BBC 2 on Friday 4th December (7.55pm kick-off).
“It’s a fantastic response yet again from the fans,” said boss Ronnie Moore.
“Even though we’re up and down on the pitch at the moment the fans have been brilliant and they have been the whole time I have been at the Club.
“They’re showing tremendous faith in us and now we have to give them what they want in return and bring some success on the field.
“They could have easily stayed at home or watched it in the pub but they want to get behind the team and do what they can to help us.
“It’s a terrific attitude from the fans and now it’s up to the players to show the same attitude.”
The Club would advise any fans who did not manage to get a ticket not to travel as there will be no tickets available on the day of the game.
