Ronnie Moore has swooped to sign front man Mikael Mandron on loan from Sunderland.
The 21-year-old linked-up with the squad at training on Friday morning and will go straight in to contention for Sunday’s televised clash with Leyton Orient at Victoria Park.
Mandron arrived at Sunderland in 2011 when he has just 16 after being spotted starring in the lower league in his native France and he made his Black Cats debut against Aston Villa in April 2013.
Since then, the powerful 6ft 3ins forward has gained extra senior experience with loan spells at Shrewsbury Town and Fleetwood Town, playing against Pools for The Cod Army in January 2014.
“He’s a powerful lad and he gives us another option up there,” explained boss Moore.
“We’re pleased that Sunderland have allowed him to come here and hopefully the move can be beneficial to the player and both clubs.”
Mandron has been given squad number 32 at Victoria Park and his loan deal will see him remain with the Club until 2nd January.
