Ronnie Moore has further strengthened his attacking options ahead of the new campaign with the arrival of young front man Rhys Oates.
The 20-year-old was released by Barnsley at the end of last term after being on the books at Oakwell since he was six and Moore has moved quickly to acquire his services.
Oates made his First Team debut for The Tykes last August but has also gained senior experience with loan spells at Gainsborough Trinity, Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Chester.
The big and physical striker returned to his parent club and made a number of substitute appearances in the latter part of 2014/15 but was allowed to move on when the season concluded.
Subject to Football League approval, Oates will link-up with his new team-mates at The Vic when they report for pre-season training.
