Moore Moves Quickly To Get His Man

26 March 2015

The Pools boss has secured the services of Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill on loan.

The 22-year-old striker will join up with Pools on Thursday morning in preparation for Saturday’s game with Cambridge United at Victoria Park.

Hugill, who has joined Pools until the end of the season, has spent the past month on loan at Tranmere Rovers but returned to his parent club earlier this week.

With Ryan Bird being recalled by Cambridge United, Ronnie Moore moved quickly to snap up Hugill once he heard of his availability.

The Middlesbrough-born forward played locally for Seaham Red Star, Consett, Whitby Town and Marske United before signing professionally with Port Vale in 2013.

Hugill spent a season with the Vale Park outfit before being snapped up by Preston North End in June 2014.

He will wear squad number 24 and will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s match, subject to Football League clearance.
