Faves And Fives: Jordan Richards

19 June 2015

It’s the turn of the young Pools’ full-back to step in to the Faves and Fives hotseat as we first grill him about all the favourite things in his life…

Favourite crisps?
Worcester Sauce Walkers would be mine but I don’t eat a lot of crisps.

Favourite drink?
If we’re going alcoholic it would be Disaronno and coke!

Favourite sandwich?
Ooh! I would say bacon, you can’t beat a bacon sandwich.

Favourite pizza?
I’m not in to pizza that much but would go for spicy chicken.

Favourite footballer?
Matty Bates or Jonathan Franks, just to wind them up to be honest!

Favourite sport?
I’m rubbish at golf so I’ll just stick to football.

Favourite song?
I’ve not got a particular favourite but I do like music with saxophones in it!

Favourite band?
One Direction, biggest band in the world – they’re unbelievable!

Favourite stadium?
I went to Old Trafford last season and I loved it.

Favourite film?
I watched The Lincoln Lawyer on the bus the other week and it was brilliant.

Favourite TV series?
Made In Chelsea – come on, it’s quality!

We’ve asked Jordan to pick a five-a-side team including himself and four other players – one he’s played against, one he’s played with, one from history and one from the current day…

Luke Williams
It was close between him and Franksy but I will go with Luke because I’ve never seen anyone that I’ve played with make it look so easy. He megs people for fun and would be decent at five-a-side I reckon.

Joey Barton
I played against him for the Reserves at The Vic a few years ago. Although not everyone likes him, he always looks to play forward when he gets the ball, he’s a clever player and I think he would get everyone in my five-a-side team going.

David Beckham
Firstly, I’d pick Beckham just to say I’d played in a team with him but secondly because he was my favourite footballer when I was growing up. He’s unbelievable isn’t he and I am sure he’d still be pretty good at fives.

I would always go for Ronaldo over Messi in that debate. I know they’re very different players but I just think Ronaldo has everything you could want – and he would surely score a ridiculous amount of goals in five-a-side?

Jordan Richards
I’m alright at five-a-side to be honest, but I would stick around at the back to shore things up – particularly as I’ve gone attacking and not picked a goalie! Having said that, I’m rubbish in goal so if I’m rushed back there then there could be problems…
