Pools Sign Highly-Rated Young Keeper

13 July 2015

Ronnie Moore has completed a tenth summer signing with young goalkeeper Peter Denton agreeing a deal to join the Club for 2015/16.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has been training with Pools during pre-season after being recommended to Moore by new Goalkeeper Coach Tony Caig.

Denton has done enough to impress the coaching staff at Victoria Park and will now join Pools for the new campaign after leaving Rotherham United at the end of a two-year scholarship.

"Peter comes highly recommended to us so we're looking forward to overseeing the next stage of his development as a goalkeeper."

"He's a young boy with a lot of talent so we're delighted to bring him here," explained Ronnie Moore.

The 6ft 3ins stopper had previously been on the books at Birmingham City but will now work alongside Caig and fellow keepers Trevor Carson and Adam Bartlett at The Vic.
