Pools have agreed a loan extension with Reading which will see talented midfielder Aaron Tshibola remain on loan at Victoria Park until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old star has been a huge hit since being brought to The Vic by Ronnie Moore earlier this month and has played every minute of the four games since.
Pools boss Moore was keen to tie-up a new deal for the highly-rated schemer and Tshibola turned down the overtures of another League Two club to seal an extended stay in the north-east.
“I always wanted to stay here,” he explained.
“I feel comfortable at the Club and didn’t want to ruin that so once there was the chance to stay I was keen to get everything sorted.
“I am ready for the fight ahead now – if we keep on playing like we did against Tranmere then I am more than confident we can stay up.
“We’ve got a big game against Plymouth on Saturday now; I know one of the players there and was speaking to him earlier today so it would be nice to get one over on him!”
