Mikael Mandron’s loan spell at Victoria Park has been cut short by a groin injury and the front man has returned to parent club Sunderland for treatment.
The 21-year-old joined Pools on loan from The Black Cats in November and made his debut during our televised 3-1 win over Leyton Orient at The Vic.
Mandron went on to make seven appearances for the Club, scoring one goal – the extra time clincher in our FA Cup Second Round replay win over Salford City earlier this month.
“We thank everyone at Sunderland for allowing Mikael to spend time with us,” said boss Ronnie Moore.
“Unfortunately he’s picked up a groin injury and had to go back to the Stadium of Light but we wish him well and thank him for his efforts.”
