Team News: Pools v Tranmere Rovers

11 September 2014

We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League meeting with Tranmere Rovers at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).

Colin Cooper is unlikely to be able to call on either Michael Duckworth or Stuart Parnaby for this weekend’s game after the duo both picked up injuries.

Duckworth missed Saturday’s win over Shrewsbury Town with a hamstring injury he picked up in training on Friday and this weekend’s game may come too soon for the right-back.

Parnaby started against The Shrews but was also struck down with a hamstring problem and was forced off prior to half time and remains doubtful for Saturday.

Tranmere boss Rob Edwards could hand a debut to new signing George Donnelly when his side head to the north-east this weekend.

The front man signed-up on transfer deadline day from Rochdale but sat out Rovers' 3-2 defeat at Accrington Stanley last weekend through injury.

Edwards has also added to his ranks this week with the arrival of winger Matthias Fanimo on loan from West Ham United but Liam Ridehalgh will definitely miss out with an ankle problem.
