Colin Cooper adds Freddie Woodman to his squad ahead of Northampton Town match.
Pools have today secured the services of highly-rated Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on a month’s loan.
Woodman, who has represented England at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 level, was part of the national side that won the European Under 17 Championship finals in the summer.
The 17-year-old, who is son of Newcastle United Goalkeeping Coach Andy Woodman, comes in to Pools as back-up to Scott Flinders and will wear squad number 31.
Woodman will go straight into the squad that travels to take on Northampton Town this evening.
