Paul Murray has completed his first signing as Pools boss after midfielder Nicky Featherstone put pen to paper on a deal on Friday.
The Goole-born 26-year-old started his career with Hull City before moving on to Hereford United in 2011 following a successful loan spell with The Bulls.
Featherstone, who can play centrally or in a wide role, played over 60 games for the Edgar Street outfit before further building his Football League experience with a two-year spell at Walsall.
More recently he has been plying his trade with Harrogate Town but new Pools boss Paul Murray brought him in to the Club on trial earlier this week and has been impressed with what he’s seen.
Featherstone - who has taken the number 16 shirt - has signed a short-term deal and will go straight in to contention for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Newport County at Victoria Park.
Look out for a video interview with the new arrival coming up on Pools Player shortly.
