Pools have beaten off competition from a number of clubs to complete the signing of highly-rated striker Scott Fenwick from Dunston UTS.
The 24-year-old front man has been on trial at the Club this week and scored both goals in the Reserves’ 2-1 win over Gateshead at Billingham Town on Wednesday.
Pools boss Paul Murray has been keen to add to his side’s fire-power and Fenwick flashed up on his radar after firing seven goals in just eleven game for Northern League Dunston so far this term.
“He’s got a good pedigree and his goalscoring record speaks for itself,” Murray told us.
“I’ve worked closely with him in training and the thing I have noticed is that he very rarely misses so I’m delighted to have him here.
“He’s got a goalscoring prowess there already but with hard work I know that he can get fitter and better so I’m really looking forward to working more with him.”
Fenwick has been handed the number 17 shirt but will not be available for Saturday’s FA Cup tie against East Thurrock United because he has already played in this year’s competition for Dunston.
