Premier League Striker Joins Pools On Loan

21 November 2014

Paul Murray has made a move to sign Newcastle United youngster Adam Campbell on a one-month loan deal.

The Pools boss has been keen to strengthen his squad, and has been particularly focused on adding to his firepower as he bids to increase the team's goal return.

Murray has been a long-term admirer of the North Shields born youngster and is delighted to have sealed a deal to bring the 19-year-old to Victoria Park for an initial month.

Campbell, who is a product of the renowned Wallsend Boys Club, made his senior debut for Newcastle in the Europa League in 2012 and he also featured twice in the Premier League.

Capped by England at Youth level, the pacy striker has been handed number 29 and is expected to go straight in to the squad for Saturday’s game against York City at The Vic.
