Young star Josh Rowbotham has become the latest Pools player to commit his future to the Club by signing a new contract at Victoria Park.
The versatile 20-year-old made his debut for the First Team at Walsall in March 2012 and went on to sign his first professional contract with the Club that summer.
A former Youth Team Player of the Year, Rowbotham has been with Pools since Under 12 level and is comfortable playing anywhere in defence or in the centre of midfield.
Now an established member of the Club’s Reserve side, the Stockton-born talent will be determined to press on under Colin Cooper during the 2014/15 campaign.
“I feel over the moon about it, really delighted,” Rowbotham told Pools Player.
“It’s been a nerve-wracking time but it was a massive thrill when the gaffer told me he wanted to keep me and going home to tell your family you have a new contract is the best thing ever.
“My ambition now is to try and challenge for a natural spot in the First Team and really show Colin Cooper what I am capable of,” he added.
