Young defender Jordan Richards has signed a new contract with the Club to commit his future to Hartlepool United.
The 21-year-old was going in to an option year on his current deal but Colin Cooper has moved to tie down the full-back for a longer period.
Richards – who has been on the books at Victoria Park since he was just 10-years-old – turned professional in the summer of 2011 and has gone on to make 35 appearances for the First Team.
In the season just gone Richards made 19 senior appearances for the Club after returning from a hernia operation to enjoy a run in the side at right-back.
“I am absolutely delighted with the new deal and to be here next season,” Richards told Pools Player.
“I couldn’t wait to sign the contract and get it all sorted out so now I just want to work as hard as I can, keep enjoying it and play more games for the Club.”
