This summer we’re once again letting the players at Pools express themselves fully – and we’re not talking about on the pitch either!
Full-back Darren Holden might have a sweet left foot and a gift for long throw-ins but what’s he like when he give him a sheet of paper and a pen and demand he draws us one of his team mates?
We’ve asked several members of the First Team to show off their artistic capabilities by drawing one of their team mates and we’ve gained some interesting results to say the least.
First up we’re happy to display the handiwork of Holden who has attempted to draw one of his colleagues on the playing staff at The Vic during 2013/14 – can you guess which one?
In order to fully critique the work on display from our players this summer we approached the Art Department at English Martyrs Sixth Form to get their expert eye on these silly scribbles.
So what do they make of Darren’s doodle?
“Where’s this striker been all last season with boots like that?
“This sketch shows a slightly bigger head than is required to fit the body it would seem but this is compensated for by very well drawn facial hair and quiff.
“The artist has shown particular care with the arms and hands, the latter are very impressive given that hands are one of the hardest things to draw.”
