We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of the Sky Bet League trip to face Oxford United at The Kassam Stadium on Friday night (7.45pm kick-off).
Colin Cooper looks set to be without Andy Monkhouse for the game against Oxford United after the winger was forced off through injury in the early stage of the win over Bristol Rovers.
Monkhouse lasted little over ten minutes in the weekend victory before going down holding his left hamstring and is being assessed by the Club’s medical staff this week.
Michael Duckworth has stepped up his recovery from a leg injury by returning to full training but Friday’s game could come a little too early for the full-back who has been out almost a month.
Oxford are contending with their own problems, having had two men sent-off and another injured during their 3-0 defeat at Chesterfield on Saturday.
Tom Newey is out for three matches after being shown a straight red card, while Michael Raynes is suspended for one game after seeing yellow twice against The Spireites.
As well as that, Johnny Mullins has been undergoing tests this week to determine the extent of the ankle injury he sustained in the fixture and looks almost certain to miss out against Pools.
Striker Dave Kitson is also struggling to be fit as he contends with a tight hamstring, though Jon Meades is now back following a long-term ankle injury and could be involved on Friday.
