Rodney Set For Pools Exit

29 March 2014

It’s been revealed that Nialle Rodney is to leave Pools at the end of March as Colin Cooper begins his planning for the 2014/15 campaign.

The front man joined the Club on a month-to-month deal at the end of July following a successful pre-season trial but has since failed to hold down a regular spot in the First Team.

Rodney’s only start came in the 2-1 win at Morecambe in December, while his only goal in Pools colours came in spectacular fashion during the 5-0 JPT win over Bradford City in September.

“I’m sorry it’s not worked out the way I would have liked for Nialle,” Colin Cooper explained.

“Hopefully he doesn’t go out of the game now but knuckles down and goes on to earn another chance somewhere because this decision doesn’t change what I think of him as a lad.”

In all, Rodney made fifteen appearances during his time with the Club.
