Pools are set for a petrol-punishing start to the 2014/15 campaign after being handed some of their longest trips inside the first nine weeks of the new season.
Colin Cooper’s men kick-off the term with a 450-mile round trip to Stevenage on Saturday 9th August, while they will also make the 558-mile round trip to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 23rd August and the 470-mile journey to Cheltenham Town on Saturday 30th August.
The Club will be travelling just under 400 miles to complete their midweek fixture at Northampton Town on Tuesday 16th September, before embarking on the epic trip to Plymouth Argyle (774 miles there and back!) on Saturday 20th September.
And by Saturday 11th October Pools will have already covered an astonishing 3,334 miles ground-to-ground when they head to Exeter City’s St James’ Park.
Overall during the campaign, Pools will travel an incredible 9,694 miles to complete their League Two fixtures – just under thirty miles less than it was in 2013/14.
