The young full-back tells us who killed his pet fishes and why he has to have more than one shower a day!

What was the name of your first pet?
I had two fishes called Zig and Zag but while I was away on holiday my nana killed them!

What was your first car?
A Mini Cooper – I’ve still got it now, it’s a nice orange one.

What was the first thing you learned to cook?
Lasagne I think, back when I was in school. I’m a good cook.

What was your first holiday abroad?
I don’t know. First one I can remember is going to Florida with my uncle when I was about five.

What was the first match you went to see?
I can’t remember – pretty much as soon as I was born and out of hospital my nana was taking me to Sunderland games?

Who was your first best friend, and are you still friends with them?
Yeah, I am. I went all through school with Matty Cockburn, he’s still a good friend now.

What was the first thing you did this morning?
Had a shower. I have to have a shower as soon as I wake up – I’m funny about showers, I have four a day.

Who is the first person in your phone book?
Haha, it’s my ex-girlfriend! She’s moved to Dubai now but we’re still friends and keep in touch.

When was the first time you realised you might make it as a footballer?
I think it was only when I made my debut and I thought ‘you’re doing alright here’!

What was the first match you played in as a professional footballer?
It was at Tranmere away. We drew 1-1 and I loved every second of it.

What was the first football team you played for?
They were called Euro Camps and played in the Russell Foster League – we used to win title regularly!

What was the first mobile phone you owned?
A Nokia 3210, the one everyone had with Snake on. It was before phones got complicated!

What is the last thing you watched on TV?
I’ve just come in and I’ve got Sky Sports on now.

What was the last thing you bought?
I bought a pair of shoes yesterday – some Clarks Originals, desert boots.

What was the last thing you ate?
I had a spicy chicken sandwich at training which I put salt and mayo on. Neil Austin leaned over and asked if I thought Ronaldo ate that sort of thing. I didn’t really have an answer!

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
My little sister, she’s in Newcastle birthday shopping so I phoned to ask if she’d got anything nice.

What’s the last item of clothing you put on before a match?
I like to leave my shirt off until I’m just going out on to the pitch.

What was the last song you listened to?
I have Drake’s new album in the car and I like the song Pound Cake which I was listening to on the way home.

What was the last film you watched?
I went to the pictures last week to watch Captain Phillips. It’s probably one of the best films I’ve seen for a while, it’s about Somali pirates.

Who was the last person to text you?
Jonathan Franks has just text me ‘Schofe’. I always take the mickey out of him because he follows Philip Schofield on Twitter so I say ‘Schofe’ to him all the time!

Describe the last goal you scored.
I think it was about two years ago in a pre-season friendly against Horden – but I put it right in the top bin like! Our college tutor was in goal for Horden too so he never heard the last of it!
