Players given equality and diversity advice as part of PFA programme.
PFA representative Terry Angus visited the Club’s training ground on Tuesday lunchtime to deliver a talk to the First Team squad on equality and diversity in sport.
The former Northampton Town and Fulham defender is part of the PFA’s Equality and Diversity team and spoke to the players about their responsibilities in terms of ensuring any discrimination is stamped out.
As part of the hour-long session, the squad were asked to think about the different types of discrimination that may occur and were challenged to think more about the difference between something that is “banter” and something that can be offensive.
The talk was part of the PFA’s commitment to ensuring that players at all levels of the professional game can enjoy playing in a safe environment and they aim to speak to all clubs prior to the commencement of the new season.
