Team News: Pools v Newport County

13 February 2014

We take a look at the latest news from both camps ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Newport County at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).

Colin Cooper is waiting on the fitness of Neil Austin who is still recovering from a toe injury which kept him out of last weekend’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Austin picked up the injury in blocking a shot in the last home game against Scunthorpe United and is still receiving treatment in the hope of being available on Saturday.

However, Jordan Richards returned in the right-back role following suspension against The Daggers and Cooper was given a further boost as Michael Duckworth also returned to full training this week after a double hernia operation.

County boss Justin Edinburgh is able to include Chris Zebroski in his travelling squad after the striker recovered from a dislocated knee cap which has kept him sidelined since November.

The Exiles should also be able to call upon former Bristol City front man Aaron Holloway who agreed non-contract terms with the club on Thursday following a successful trial.
