We preview Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Road (3pm kick-off).
Dagenham & Redbridge v Hartlepool United
Sky Bet League Two
Saturday 8th February 2014
Dagenham & Redbridge lie four points and sixth places ahead of Pools in 9th place in the League Two table ahead of this weekend’s meeting.
At home, The Daggers have enjoyed some consistency having only lost three times on their own patch this season.
However, away from home they’ve had their struggles and before last weeknd’s impressive 1-0 win at Rochdale, Wayne Burnett’s side had gone nine games on the road without a victory.
The club in its current guise was formed in 1992 following a merger between Redbridge Forest and Dagenham and they’ve been in the Football League since 2007 and spent the 2010/11 campaign in League One.
Pools edged their encounter with The Daggers back at the start of November when goals from James Poole and Andy Monkhouse securing a 2-1 triumph at The Vic.
Another victory this weekend would hand Colin Cooper’s men their first League Two double of the current campaign.
Head To Head
Colin Cooper will hope to have Neil Austin available again after he hobbled out of last week’s game with a toe injury; Jordan Richards is back from suspension.
